CrossFit Derby is a 100% purpose built CrossFit training facility. We are dedicated to coaching CrossFit to our members and changing lives every day through the common camaraderie of group training for any level of fitness.
If you are not familiar with CrossFit it is quite simply the sport of fitness! Our classes and private coaching are based on the CrossFit program originally developed by legendary coach Greg Glassman after his many years of watching, working with, and coaching all types of people – from those simply interested in general fitness to elite athletes.
CrossFit workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements (like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running) carried out at high intensity. At CrossFit Derby, you will not find any machines or mirrors – instead, you will find kettlebells, barbells, medicine balls, sleds and tons of open space for running, jumping, climbing, lifting and throwing. The workouts themselves are all completely scalable, which means that a new participant and a CrossFit veteran can complete the same workout with changes in load and intensity. CrossFit workouts will deliver phenomenal fitness results that will help you meet your sporting goals or simply help you function better in your everyday life.
Our programming aims to improve your capacity in ten recognised fitness domains: cardio-respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. The result is comprehensive physical fitness and restored vitality.

Every workout is different and since you will rarely do the same thing twice, you are less likely to lose interest or get bored in the same way that you might by doing identical circuits at a gym three days a week. Also, because our workouts are rarely more than 1 hour long, they can fit into even the busiest schedules and we offer a range of different times to train. Perhaps most importantly our athletes have seen dramatic changes in their speed, strength, performance and body composition.
CrossFit is incredibly good fun! Our coaches and participants are welcoming, supportive, and committed to creating an environment where everyone can succeed. You will make friends. Once you have shared some tough WOD’s together you will almost certainly develop a strong bond with those around you.
